Obituary
Joyce A. Eriksen, 68, of Clarion, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion.
Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Rowan Library Community Center, 101 Main Street in Rowan.
Joyce Ann, daughter of Arnold E. and Eleanor L. (Parker) Steele, was born on March 4, 1957 in Westerly, Rhode Island. She grew up in Rhode Island and Maine. Joyce moved to Iowa in 1972.
She worked as the director of the Rowan Public Library for 30 years before retiring in 2021. After retirement, Joyce worked part time at the Clarion Library. She enjoyed doing various crafts, puzzles, cooking, and especially loved spending time with friends and family. Joyce lived life to the fullest!
Joyce is survived by her daughters Angie Ingraham and Faith Peters; grandsons Jaeden Traster and Mason Ingraham; brothers Kevin (Nora) Steele, Stephen (Tracy) Steele, and David Joyce Sr; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Eleanor; sister Brenda Porter; brother Arnold Steele Jr; and nephews Danny “Junebug” Langston and Christopher Schultz.
